I choose “Supercut it” for 5 of the 16 stars.
After reading over the “supercut it” assignment examples all I could think about was the exclusive jersey shore after-show clips. The one thing I saw repetitively was Deena and Snooki falling; regardless of their sobriety. Here is the example of supercuts.
I originally was going to go with one of the characters and an overused statement. However, I thought that the constant falling was funnier and it almost like these clips should be on Americas Funniest Videos.
The way I went about creating this master piece was i went to youtube and youtubed over and over different phrases associated with “jersey shore” and “falling”. after going through 20 videos, I took the best sounding/quality/appearance and put them together using freevid and Imovie. To create my title, I did a freeze frame of my closing video. Labeling, Jersey Shore and ending as if it was the end to an episode… in the end, the cops always get involved. After Exporting this out of imovie, I uploaded it onto Youtube and assigned the appropriate tags.
This process was definitely time consuming. I hope everyone enjoys this!
Hey this is a great supercut, and I like the additional bits of making the opening/closing credits. I do not even know the show, but this captures the idea of a repeated aspect of a show. And you are right, it has the low budget look of silly home videos.
The only thing I’d like to see is some more writing about what this means. Who are these girls? Why are they falling down? What is their story?
Also, you need to add the assignment tags to your post; otherwise it will never show up as an example for the assignment (and it should, its that good)
